The Body Systems is a comprehensive list of 12 body systems of the human body in BodyMap.
[fs-toc-h2]Body System Menu
The Body Systems Menu is a panel on your left hand which displays a list of 12 body systems in BodyMap.
- Body Systems Tab: Select to open a dropdown list of 12 body systems
- 12 body systems include the Skeleton System, Muscle System, Skin System, Nervous System, Circulatory System, Lymphatic System, Respiratory System, Digestive System, Urinary System, Endocrine System, Reproductive System, and Connective System
- Body Regions Filter: Select to open a dropdown list of 9 body regions
- 9 body regions include Head and Neck, Thorax, Abdomen, Back, Pelvis and Perineum, Left Upper Limb, Right Upper Limb, Left Lower Limb, and Right Lower Limb
- BodyMap Pro users can select from any of the 9 body regions plus the option to observe the whole body
- Sex Button *Pro only: Select to switch between the male and female 3D model
- Search Button: Select to find a specific body structure by entering its English name
- Reset Button: Select to show all hidden body structures of all body systems. This button will only appear when there is at least one hidden structure.
- Re-assemble Button: Select to restore all moved body structures to their default location in the 3D model. This button will only appear when there is at least one moved structure.
How to access a body system
Step 1: In the Main Menu, select the Body Systems tab
Step 2: Select a body region in the Region Filter
Step 3: Select one or multiple body system(s) in the selected body region
Step 4: You can then explore the organs and structures of your selected body system(s) in the 3D model, and open their Flashcards for relevant information and functions
💡Note:
Body systems that are not included in the selected body region will be greyed out.
How to search for a body structure
Step 1: In the Main Menu, select the Body Systems tab
Step 2: Select the Search button in the upper-right of Main Menu
Step 3: Enter the English name of the body structure you want to find using the virtual keyboard in the search field
Step 4: Select any of the body structures in the search results
💡Note:
The selected structure will be shown in the 3D model with its Flashcard opened and pinned and Isolate feature turned on.
